Mark Tyers: Who are Ain't Amused and how would you describe your music? 
  
Ain't Amused: We are a Geordie Muse tribute band and we specialise in performing signature Muse material for fans of their funkier, heavier and popular tracks.

MT: Why are you opposed to the Tory government? 

Ain't Amused: We don't just oppose this government but any government dishing out half promises and utopian fantasies such as the 'strong and stable' country conservative slogan. The Tory party are just a bunch of ugly old privileged men and women playing foolish games with people's lives. It's Shakespearean theatre as old as England itself performed with one purpose; to divide and rule the people and to persuade them to give away their power, allowing themselves to be mislead.

MT: What role do you think music and gigs like Music for the Many can play in ending austerity and bringing down Theresa May's government? 


Ain't Amused: Events such as the Music for the Many concert are about reminding people how much power they have. It's about giving back permission, someone singing; it's ok to be angry about this, you don't have to be silent. You don't have to rely on those who say they are your leaders to do your thinking for you. It's time to rise up and be a part of something bigger. Something England has never seen before. A revolution. Where better for it to start but the North where austerity effects us the most?
